Of course everyone is different, but 700 cc of fat is a typical volume for a liposuction of the arms.
There is no set amount of fat that is removed during liposuction, it varies from person to person. However, you did not have 700 cc of fat removed. If you look at your canister, the fluid at the bottom is the tumescent fluid and the yellow stuff floating on the top is your fat! I see 300 cc of fat and 400 cc of fluid. Since you had 2 arms treated, 300/2 = 150 cc. So, you had 150 cc removed from each arm, not 700 cc.
Good question! The amount of fat that is removed from any body area is variable and depends on many things. Your size, fat percentage, weight all play a part. 700 cc for both arms is a pretty normal and average amount for both arms. Again, at the end of the day, it is about shape and contour and the number or amount of fat is widely distributed. I would suggest looking at he appearance of your results and not worry so much about the number amount.
Without seeing your before pictures, I cannot say how much fat should have been removed. However, 700 cc's removed is an adequate amount for many people. Surgeons do need to be somewhat conservative in removing fat from the arms, or the results may have too much loose skin. If you have concerns, please talk to your surgeon.
Without seeing you in person before your surgery. I would not be able to guess. Remember there is a delicate balance especially with the arms of skin laxity and fat removal.
The amount of lipoaspirate (tumescent fluid, body fluid and fat) removed varies from patient to patient. Clearly in a patient with more excess fat, more lipoaspirate will be removed. Also, there are different techniques of tumescent and depending on which one your PS uses, more tumescent may be injected, which can lead to more being removed. No PS will be able to comment on your questions without having examined you pre-op. Also, it is very difficult to know how much fat will be removed, and I always make sure to tell my patients that the number that I tell them pre-op is just an estimate.
It will take 6 months for all the swelling to resolve after liposuction, please be patient and allow nature to take it's course!
450 cc of fat is virtually nothing in terms of liposuction volume on the abdomen. It takes 6 months to see the results, although I suspect your will be minimal.
Tumescent liposuction is surgery and therefore does have some risk, but it is a very safe procedure with an excellent safety profile. Because it is now performed with microcannulas (suctioning straws) entirely under local anesthesia, it is less invasive than traditional liposuction. The biggest ...
