I'm already 18 years old last year, I have type 1 diabetes since when I was 14. I'm taking insulin every morning and evening , I'm so much interested about non surgical rhinoplasty. That was my dream! Everyday I feel so insecure about my flat nose, I want to boost my confidence! Coz I have so much insecurities. But my family are really concerned about that due to injections. And I want to know if non surgical rhinoplasty is really safe for me. Can I do that? :( I'm sad

Answer: Can I have non surgical rhinoplasty? I have type 1 diabetes MORE ABOUT NONSURGICAL NOSE JOB A nonsurgical rhinoplasty involves using fillers rather than having surgery. Even with diabetes, you should be able to have either surgery or a nonsurgical rhinoplasty, providing your diabetes is controlled. You will need to see a board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your nose and determine which procedure would be most appropriate for you to meet your goals. Non-surgical rhinoplasties do work well when mild changes are needed, but they are temporary, whereas a surgical rhinoplasty is permanent. Thank you for your question, and best of luck to you.

Answer: Rhinoplasty candidate Dear ChryzaellePh, generally speaking, dermal fillers are safe to use even if a patient has diabetes. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
