Injection of the infratip lobule, and the columella, may lead to a slightly longer and less rotated nasal appearance. This needs to be done carefully by an experienced injector. Wishing you well, and I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Hi, thanks for your question. I highly recommend that you book an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to assess what procedure might be best for you and for the look that you are trying to achieve. Soft tissue fillers are great in order to improve the overall contour and shape of the nose, to correct any irregularities following rhinoplasty, or to make an area of the nose bigger, such as enlarging the bridge of the nose. Fillers typically add volume as opposed to reducing the size. Soft tissue fillers won't lengthen a nose, as for reshaping the tip that also might be difficult to achieve. But always best to have an in person consultation.
Lengthening a short nose is difficult to achieve even surgically. I don’t think fillers will do it either but you could try because the effect is temporary anyway.
I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers like Voluma, Restylane, and Juvederm along with Botox can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose and lift the tip; however, it won't make the nose appear smaller. Surgery would be needed to improve the nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Non-surgical rhinoplasty can be a great alternative to undergoing surgery for the right candidate. Camouflaging a dorsal hump, adding height to the dorsum, correcting a nasal deviation, or altering the nasal tip are generally the extent of what dermal filler can do in the nose. Contouring the nasal tip with dermal filler can be less predictable than injecting it higher up in the nose, however, desired results can be achieved. Lengthening the nose is generally not something dermal filler is able to do. Best of luck to you!
If the top of your nose needs to be raised, that would be the place where the needle would be injected for placement of filler. Based on our experience, the dissolving enzyme does not lead to the appearance of baggy skin on the nose. Rather it can dissolve the pre-existing temporary gel filler....
Based on your photos, you appear to have a hanging columella and this may be due to a long nasal septum. This is also associated with flaring of your nostrils. It is conceivable that filler could be used to lower your nostril margins several millimeters, however, I do not believe that this would...
