Will a nonsurgical nose job help my pig-like nose? (Photos)

Question

I have a piggy nose I can't take pictures straight on or smiling as my nose just spreads across my face. I don't want a nose job as this is my face if something goes wrong it would be horrendous. Can filler help here?

Based on your photos, you appear to have a hanging columella and this may be due to a long nasal septum. This is also associated with flaring of your nostrils. It is conceivable that filler could be used to lower your nostril margins several millimeters, however, I do not believe that this would adequately decrease your nostril show on front view and flaring nasal appearance. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (like Voluma, Restylane, Juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose, but surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. Best to see an expert. - Dr. Emer

Hi!
Although the treatment of choice is by surgery, your nose can be improved significantly non-surgically.
This is best done with PDO threads instead of liquid fillers like juvederm.  Liquid fillers are "liquid" and do not have shape, so that when injected into the nose, they increase the volume but the shape cannot be maintained.  They tend to spread, e.g., when injected to increase the height of the bridge of the nose, initially it looks OK but with time the liquid spreads and the bridge of the nose becomes flatter and wider.  When looking at after pictures, it is important to know how long after the surgery the pictures were taken.
Modifying the shape of the nose with threads can give you a more definitive shape which can be maintained for a long period of time depending on what kind of threads are used.  With this method the height and shape of the bridge, the shape of the nasal tip and the contour of the nostrils can be changed and can last for a long time.
Looking at your pictures, you would benefit from narrowing the tip and changing the shape of the nostrils by straightening the curvature of the nostrils.  You should consult a plastic surgeon who is familiar with this procedure
