This will depend on how you are doing after surgery and the opinion of your surgeon. For my patients, usually they can go home the same day after spending a few hours in recovery, however, if the patient is having additional procedures, it may require an overnight at our surgery center. Good luck!
A tummy tuck can usually be performed in a few hours and most surgeons will send people home after their initial recover period in a few hours. This is generally considered the best practice when the tummy tuck is not outof the norm and benefits patients because they are usually more comfortable recovering at home than in a strange hospital bed. sometimes, however if your surgery is extensive or a bit out of the norm then an overnight stay can be a good idea primarily for safety or comfort.
Thank you for your question. In most cases women are able to return home the same day as surgery but some do elect an overnight stay in the hospital based on their comfort level. Talk to your surgeon about their recommendations for your specific case.
Many TT surgeries are performed as outpatient procedures. If you need a night in the hospital for observation afterwards due to a more complicated situation, it should only be for one night.
Typically patients go home the same day. This is ultimately at the discretion of your surgeon. Best of luck. Regards,
Great question. All of our abdomioplasty patients go home the same day. You need someone to stay with you that night, to help you up to the bathroom, etc. I always get my patients to come in the next day after surgery to make sure everything is going okay, and to get them out of bed to move around. Best wishes
Thank you for your question. I typically do not keep my tummy tuck patients overnight in the hospital. The majority are able to go home 60 - 90 minutes following the procedure. However, if the patient desires or multiple procedures are performed, I will keep them in the hospital overnight and discharge them the next morning. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and good luck with your surgery!
In general you do not require an overnight hospital stay for a tummy tuck and it is not really necessary. Occasionally surgeons have overnight stays at their facilities but usually do this to make more money for theme selves and is not included in the basic costs of the procedure.
Tummy tuck can be performed as an outpatient procedure. Overnight stay will depend on the health of the patient, the extent of surgery and the patient wishes.
Our patients will go home on the same day as the tummy tuck procedure so no stay is required. Each surgeon is different so consult with 3 experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeons to understand your options.
