my injector put excessive amounts of vollure in my lower face ( without my agreeing or discussing it). Turned my face into a balloon. tried to dissolve it many times at 2-3 weeks intervals with no success. because of the filler swelling , extra volume, i lost definition around my jaw which appears sagging ( skin was very taut before). Will a lower facelift. tighten my face and remove filler?

Answer: Hyaluronidase facts about reversing fillers versus facelift--takes a series of treatments No, this won't remove filler. However, it can take a series of treatments with hyaluronidase to remove filler. A combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with skin tightening for the face. I recommend J Plasma, lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, Co2), microneedling/prp, ultherapy and rf treatments to get the best outcomes. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Removal of redundant filler in the course of face lift Depending of the location and depth of injection, it may be possible to remove partially filler in the jowls area in the course of face lift. However, this should be done only within of face lift limits; any attempt to remove filler from areas underneath facial muscles could create muscle and nerve damage. You should discuss your options with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in facial rejuvenation and familiar with filler which was used. Good luck.
