I feel these annoying bumps behind my ears. What can be done to fix these? Will I have to have them removed surgically?
Answer: Raised Scars Thank you for your question. Little lumps and bumps behind the ears after a facelift is completely normal. The scars at the back hold the most tension, therefore suturing bunched, to relieve this. Please massage this areas and will soften and flatten. All The Best

Answer: Bumps behind ears I would have your surgeon take a look at the bumps behind your ears. They are probably just related to the sutures that were used and will usually resolve on their own. Sometimes, we inject the area with steroid to help it go away more quickly.

Answer: Lump after Neck & Facelift Lift--add thermage, venus legacy, kybella, ultherapy It can take up to 6 months for your final results. I recommend following up with your surgeon about your concerns and after care recommendations. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments. To improve final results, we will often do a kybella and ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after neck lift to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Bumps behind ear after facelift These are likely the suture suspension points from your lift. Depending on what kind of suture was used, they may persist or dissolve overtime. It’s best to talk with the surgeon who performed your procedure and knows which sutures were used. To ensure you are receiving the highest level of care, seek out a modernly trained, new-school dermatologic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who is board certified and fellowship trained in one of these “core four” cosmetic specialties. Membership in organizations like the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery help to identify a highly trained surgeon. Cameron Chesnut #realself500 Physician
