Once a consultation is performed, a surgical procedure can be performed when the patient has had the appropriate preoperative medical evaluation and has discontinued medications and supplements which may increase bleeding for an adequate amount of time.
Waiting times will vary and depend on the surgeon’sschedule. Most surgeons will try theirvery best to accommodate a patients schedule as well.
It depend on how busy the doctor is (some months tend to be busier than others). It also depends on where the surgery is being done (hospital or private practice).
This can vary quite a bit from doctor to doctor depending on how busy the doctor is and also depnding on the time of year. There are certain times of the year that are busier then others. You would just need to talk to your doctor to find what their schedule is like to find out how soon after your consultation you can have surgery. As far as health wise and when and if you CAN have the surgery, the only waiting period would be if you are smoking. You cannot smoke for 4-6 weeks prior to a breast augmentation surgery, so you would have to quit smoking and wait that period before you can schedule your surgery. Otherwise, if you are a healthy, non-smoker, there shouldn't be a long waiting period. Sometimes labs and mammograms are required before surgery, so check with your doctor regarding that as well.If you would like more information regarding breast augmentation and the process, you can download a free copy of my breast augmentation planner at ABetterBreast.com.
Hi.. thank you for the question... this depends on the operating schedule of your PS... and the medical history of the patient.
Most patients considering breast augmentation have been exploring the possibility for a long time. After consultation, as a matter of scheduling, it usually takes a couple weeks to get on the schedule. As long as the patient is convinced that the operation is in their best interests there's no reason not to go ahead.
This question can be quite variable based on the patient's needs and the surgeon she chooses. Every surgeon's schedule is different but generally, a surgery such as a breast augmentation can be added on within a couple of weeks if needed.
There truly is no typical "waiting time". It will vary with the schedule of your chosen surgeon. Openings may come about on a daily basis. If so, they are filled expeditiously.
Thank you for your question. This will vary depending on the experience and schedule of your surgeon. Even very experienced and busy surgeons may have an opening and be able to schedule your surgery in a week or within six months.Best of luck,
This depends on several factors, some of which can be financial on the patient's end if she needs to save money for the procedure after obtaining the cost or even obtaining financing, though financing is usually quick to be obtained or denied. The single most important factor from a surgeon's standpoint is how busy he/she is which determines how far out the surgery schedule is already booked. Every surgeon is likely to have a different wait time based on availability. Wait time could be as short as a week or two to get things arranged to several months if a surgeon is particularly busy. You can call around several offices to ask about what their particular wait time might be. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Typically, 4-6 weeks is the normal recovery period for most Breast Augmentattion patients. I recommend seeing your Plastic Surgeon to make sure you are healing well and that way he can verbally lift restrictions for you. Good luck.
At only two days post operative you are extreamly early in the heaing process and your breasts with time will be under going a lot of changes. Be patient. Follow up with your surgeon as directed.
Swelling of the hands and arms is probably due to fluid retention after the operation. This will improve with time.
