Spine fusion surgery does not make you an unsuitable candidate for a tummy tuck or lipo. However, it’s a good idea to discuss your desire to undergo a tummy tuck/liposuction with your primary care physician just to be on the safe side.

Provided you have healed from your spinal fusion, liposuction and TT surgery can be performed. Position during surgery and after surgery may cause some lower back pain, which should be temporary. Suggest that you discuss your TT plans with your neurosurgeon as he/she will have some guidelines for you to follow in lessening the temporary pain .

Yes, you should be able to have a tummy tuck with liposuction after a spinal fusion. This is assuming that you have fully healed from the fusion. Be sure to discuss your full medical history with your board certified plastic surgeon.

There should be no contraindication for surgery but just be advised that those hours on the OR table may give you a temporary backache.
