Hello. I'm scheduled to have a tummy tuck along with a BBL. I have a left bundle branch block but I only go into LBBB when I'm very stressed or nervous but my structure is good and strong in 32 year old female. My cardiologist (ep) cleared me for the procedure and said I'm very low risk. Will having a LBBB on and off when I'm nervous stop my surgeon from doing my procedure even though he has a cardiac clearance?

Answer: Cardiac clearance Be sure that you have provided your full medical history to your surgeon as well as the name of your cardiologist. If there are any questions with your permission your surgeon can speak to your cardiologist directly. You will be monitored closely, as are all patients, during surgery.

Answer: Cardiology issues and surgery Thank you for your question. It is up to your Surgeon if he or she feel comfortable to continue with the procedure with the medical history you notify them of. I would suggest speaking in depth with your surgeon and following their protocol. Best of luck to you.

Answer: I'm scheduled to have a tummy tuck along with a BBL in 3 weeks. Is it safe if I have a left bundle branch block? Based on the fact that your cardiologist cleared you for the TT and BBL and states that your risk is very low for a LBBB, your board certified PS will have to decide if having the TT and BBL during the same surgery is wise. Based upon your "electrical wiring system" medical history, the two of you may decide to stage the procedures with the lipo/BBL performed first; three to six months later, have the TT.
