I have answered many questions on realself from people who were told they needed a fdl tummy tuck. None of themNeeded it and you don’t either. Not with the additional scars.
Thanks for the question. In this regard, I recommend you a Tummy Tuck to get a flat abdomen and waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
You do have a significant excess of skin in both vertical and horizontal directions. This is best treated with your current treatment plan. If not, you will still have extra skin in the middle that you aren't happy with in the long term. Best of luck.
FDL Tummy Tuck removes skin and tissue from both the horizontal and vertical dimensions. This will give you both vertical and horizontal scars. You will have to decide whether the vertical scar is worth the improvement in smoothness and contour. The FDL scar would not be hidden by bikinis or workout pants worn beneath the BB.
Hi and thanks for sharing your photos. Based on your photos, you need 360 tummy tuck and FDL( vertical tummy tuck). With this combination you can get slimmer belt region. If your blood count is ok, breast lifting and implant Vulcan be performed with tummy surgery. In second session your arms and legs can be operated.Best of lucks.
Dear Bright583342,based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I appreciate your concerns and while physical examination would be helpful, it appears from your photographs that an extended tummy tuck with incisions extending a bit further laterally than a regular tummy tuck combined with liposuction of your anterior and posterior flank regions, would be a very reasonable option for you to avoid the fleur-de-lis scars. This may be combined with breast lift only as you do appear to have modest amount of breast issue. Since you do not desire breast implants, fat transfer with your breast lift is an option to modestly increase breast size. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to confirm my advice. Good luck.
Part of your answer lies in what you are willing to accept post-operatively.It is true that you have both vertical and horizontal excess tissue which would be better dealt with a FDL however many women do not want the vertical scar associated with this.If you can understand the limitations and benefits of both then I think you would be happy with either procedure.FDL leaves a long vertical abdominal scar and the traditional abdominoplasty scar - the benefit is that the excess central vertical skin above your belly button is removed and the waist line is significantly narrowed. Without the vertical component you would still have that central skin laxity above the belly button then being moved to your lower abdomen.Hope that helps in your decision making - each person needs to know what they are trading scars for and the overall benefit they will achieve by doing so.
The fleur de lis tummy tuck will specifically target skin that is midline. If you have a traditional tummy tuck, you may still have some laxity in the mid upper abdomen, but you would avoid the vertical scar. An exam is needed to determine which is best for you. I encourage you to meet with a few board certified plastic surgeons near you to listen to different opinions based on your surgical goals.
Hello, thanks for your question and photo. You are a candidate for Fleur de Lis Tummy Tuck to eliminate saggy skin and damaged tissues. Lipo and TT will make you recover your body contour without the extra fat and loose skin. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area for an in-person exam. Good luck!
