I don't recommend it. Usually a numbing cream is applied to increase your comfort during injections and some fillers have lidocaine. I recommend injections with cannulas to limit swelling and/or bruising. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your injector. Hope this helps.
I would not advise taking oxycodone or any medication without the approval of your injector. Typically a topical numbing cream will help. Also many fillers contain numbing medicine. Some doctors offer perioral numbing before before injection of the lip filler.
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. For most patients narcotic use is unnecessary prior to a lip augmentation as your injector should have an excellent numbing cream or injections. There is also numbing medicine premixed with most fillers to make the experience better as well. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question! Not necessary and perhaps not advisable. Topical numbing cream is usually sufficient although an occasional patient will need perioral nerve blocks or even nitrous oxide gas. Best of luck!

I would not take any medications without prescription and physician oversight. In our clinic, we usually get good pain control using a topical anesthetic cream and gentle injection technique. Some injectors prefer to also use nerve blocks. I avoid blocks because I think they distort normal lip anatomy.
I would urge you to discuss this issue with your treating physician. Do not self administer any medications. Good luck from New York City
While this should be fine, avoid firm pressure to the treated area and understand you may have some swelling after treatment. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results. Hope this helps.
I advise my patients to start with 1 ml of filler in the lips and wait 10-14 days to see how the lips look after the swelling resolves and then make a decision as to whether to get a second 1ml syringe. Remember there is no hurry. Discuss your concerns with your injector and describe the look ...
It may be that a different filler like Restylane may give you longer lasting results. I recommend following up with your injector about your concerns. Hope this helps.
There can be some lumps after filler which should resolve in 1-2 weeks. If it's after 2 weeks and you aren't happy with your results, you can have the filler reversed. Hope this helps.
If this is radiese it will likely stay there. There are several techniques to try and get rid of radiese (see an experienced injector). If it is a HA it will likely go away with time. I looks as though the filler migrated or was placed to superficially. Good Luck Dr Z
No, they won't pop. However, swelling can be typical and may last 1-2 weeks. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps!
