Why can I see bumps after getting filler for smile lines?

There can be some lumps after filler which should resolve in 1-2 weeks. If it's after 2 weeks and you aren't happy with your results, you can have the filler reversed. Hope this helps.

You have swelling and/or lumps, which can last 1-2 weeks after filler injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr.

Great question. 
When dermal fillers are injected the material expands the surrounding tissue. This is normal, and may cause some raising of the skin surface. Over a few days this subsides to a flatter surface, while maintaining the cosmetic improvements for the life of the filler.  There are also known complications to filler injection, and not every ‘bump’ is the same.  This may require an in-person evaluation by your injector sooner than your follow up.  For more information, be sure to find a trustworthy surgeon, with experience and impeccable credentials in your area.
