every surgeon has a revision policy. Many involve reduced or even no fees for the surgeon (depending on the situation) while the patient may still be responsible for facility (the use of the operating room, staff, and supplies) and anesthesia fees. Best to go back to your surgeon and have a talk about your concerns again.

Who covers the cost of revisions is often a sticky situation. It is not uncommon to charge for operating room, anesthesia and implants. You should check the consent to see what it says. Some surgeons are more flexible on this than others. If I recognize I clearly should have done a better job then I generally do a revision free of charge.

Every surgeon has their own revision policy. Most commonly, their services are free other than OR and anesthesia. If I am unhappy with my results that I feel should have been better, I generally revise it for free. If possible, I also offer minimal payments for any revision performed under local anesthesia.
Read the paperwork you received from your surgeon to assess revision costs.

Every surgeon has his/her policy about revisions--what is covered with the initial surgery and what is not. Often OR fees, supplies, and anesthesia is not covered for revision procedures that may be covered. Look at your initial preop paperwork that you were given and signed, and discuss this with your surgeon.
