Will not getting posterior flanks lipo effect the outcome of my frontal flank and ab lipo? (photos)

Liposculpting the upper and lower abdomen, flanks, love handles, waist, lower back, and lower back bra roll all in one session typically results in the most dramatic sculpted change in a 360 degree fashion.  Sculpting only the front will produce a change but you have to be aware of the limitation. 

Hello,You bring up good questions. In general, the more areas treated, the greater the cost. You should go back to your surgeon to discuss these issues before having surgery!Good luck.

great candidate for waistline contouring liposuction of your abdomen, flanks,
and lower back.  Adding on the posterior back can greatly improve your overall shape with a
smaller waist.  Make sure you specifically
look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this
surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

Dear tiffanybrooks01,liposuction of abdomen, back and flanks should give more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give more projection. Without an examination it is hard to tell for sure whether you are a good candidate for back liposuction without. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

No, you will still get a good result in the treated areas. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. While looking at your pictures at a first glance, I noticed that you tummy and front flanks are thicker. So it does seem reasonable to focus on the anterior portion. However, on a second look, it becomes obvious that you are missing a good curve from the back transitioning to the buttock region. To me, it would make more sense if you decided to go for the whole 360 degree liposuction and utilize the fat using your own fat augmentation to further sculpture your buttock region. I'm almost certain that you will get great results.

Thank you for your photos. The amount of fat that is removed from  lipo is dependent on how much the surgeon wishes to take out. Posterior flanks and the back will improve your side view and the view from your back. It should not affect your front view. Whether you add the back liposuction is a choice that you can make with respect to the aesthetics that you want to accomplish, but it should not affect the level or extent of liposuction that is done to the front and flanks from.Good luck with your liposuction.Dr. Remus Repta

Liposuction of the abdomen and hips and flanks will still give you an improvement that you are looking for, especially on frontal view. Treatment of the lower back and sometimes upper back can add to the definition but comes at additional cost. I think you should address the areas that bother you the most and you will be pleased with the results.
