When will I see results from liposuction? I'm 5 days post op.

Hi, Thank  you for your post. At only 5 days post op it is too soon to see what your results will be. At this point you will still have a lot of swelling that will get better over time. At about 3 months after surgery you will have a pretty good idea of what your end result will be. If you have any questions or concerns I would follow up with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question. Healing after liposuction is usually pretty straight forward.  There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery.  The lateer phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens.  It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient. Normally takes up to 6 months for final results to be seen.

Yes, this can be typical. It is too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Recovery will vary based upon the amount of liposuctioned fat, but swelling can last for 3 to 6 months.  The result will depend upon that amount as well as the skill with which it is removed to maintain a smooth contour. Do not worry about weight gain for the first few months.  I recommend that my patients eat a healthy balanced diet, with an emphasis on protein, fresh vegetables, and whole grains with limited fat, carbohydrates, sugar, and alcohol.

I know it's hard to be patient, but seeing your final results from liposuction takes at least 3 months for the most noticeable swelling to resolve, and subtle contour improvements will likely continue for up to about 6 months post-liposuction. Hang in there—you should start seeing visible changes in just a couple weeks. Best of luck to you!

It is completely normal be swollen 5 days after surgery, it can take 6 months to see your final results. Be patient and if you have any concern contact your PS, and remember to follow his / her instructions.

You may look larger because at 5 days post op, you are swollen. It will take anywhere from 3-6 months for the swelling to fully subside and for you to see your final results. Be patient and kind to yourself as your body heals. It is a process but it will be worth it. Best of luck.

First of all, congratulations on your liposuction and breast augmentation, kristybeiles!
It’s normal to experience swelling even up to six months to one year after your plastic surgery. Only after that will you be able to see the final results.
Just make sure that you go on follow-up checkups with your reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon so that he can monitor your healing.

hello thank you for your question and provided information as well..Normally in cases of liposuction The inflammation tends to lose 6-9 months after the 9 months you will be able to see the final result , but if you have any questions about results it would be ideal if you speak in a consultation with your doctor.

At times patients will see impressive results 24 hours after the procedure before swelling begins.
But five days you are very swollen and you will not see anything resembling final results until about six weeks.
Perhaps you meant 1000 mL.
100 mL is a very conservative amount unless you had a small area like your chin treated.
