Areola expanding after surgery. PS says that even if revision was done they would probably expand again. Is this true?

I had a breast augmentation with areola reduction last year. In the beginning the areolas were very small, but they have now expanded quite a lot. The main problem is that one is bigger and a bit uneven. My surgeon will perform a revision to fix my pockets, but he said that even if he would redo my areolas, they would probably expand again. Is this true? I did move around quite a lot and started working out way too early after surgery and wonder if this could have affected the outcome?

I have used singulair for mild firmness / possible early capsular contracture and have not heard of weight gain as a side effect....please see link below.M. Kara, MD, FRCSC. (Specializing in 24 Hour Recovery / Out To Dinner Breast Augmentation)
If the spots are also tender, you should get them checked and an ultrasound can help evaluate the status of the implant. If the breast is more swollen and tender, there could be bleeding or infection.
No harm done in getting checked out and find out that all is well...we are always open to do so...
Hello dear!!
Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
At the stage you are in, inflammation and discomfort are normal, specially after lying down for the hole night.
If this doesn't improve over time, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.
Good luck :)
