Red spot appeared 2 weeks post breast augmentation. Is this normal? (photos)

It is very common for your breasts to heal at different rates following breast augmentation surgery.  I recommend you keep your post-op appointments and follow your surgeon's instructions for follow up care.

You are still early on healing process. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the first 3 to 4 months, until your implants have dropped and settle in. 
Please, be patient, but if the situation doesn't improve over time, i suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question. It is very rare that although the same procedure was performed on both breasts, that they heal at the same rate. Typically one can be more bothersome than the other. With that being said swelling can be different, the rate in which the implant drops can be different, and an augmentation only enlarges the breast from where they started, so although measures are taken to make the breast as symmetric as possible, the breast will never be 100% symmetrical. As far as the red spots, it appears to be bruising. However, I would visit your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss the concern to be safe. Good luck and best wishes!

Hello and thank you for your question and photo's.  Breasts are not completely symmetrical naturally and won't be after an augmentation, however, you are still early in the recovery period and they heal and drop at different rates.  As far as the redness, I am not sure if it's bruising, I would see your PS for an exam.

What I can see in your photo may be some bruising, but I would suggest seeing your surgeon and being examined. You do have two different breasts and they may not heal at the exact same rate.

If the spots are also tender, you should get them checked and an ultrasound can help evaluate the status of the implant. If the breast is more swollen and tender, there could be bleeding or infection.
No harm done in getting checked out and find out that all is well...we are always open to do so for any patient!
