19 days post-op I have tenderness and pain in my top-side near the armpit. Is this normal or should I contact my surgeon?

Hello just curious about this pain in my left side closer to my arm pit area then my top ribs. Kind of tender to touch but not extreme pain. Sometimes hurts little more when I take a deep breathe. Not sure if it’s normal or I should call my surgeon before my one month follow up. No obvious Bruising, one boob is higher then other but seems normal. 19 days post Op

Dear Jessbabe2, Thank you for your question. Tenderness after breast augmentation can be normal for several weeks or even months after surgery. I would, however, recommend that you at least call your surgeon and see if they want to see you and examine you. Good luck. Dr. Gervais.

At the stage you are in, discomfort is normal, but severe pain isn't. Please follow up close with your plastic surgeon for advise.

The symptoms you describe are not uncommon at 19 days post op.  Swelling is present and the muscles are still healing from surgery.  Some soreness and tenderness is expected.  This should improve as you continue to heal. I encourage you to continue to follow the advice of your surgeon and to keep all follow up appointments.
