Round chin to straight chin? (Photo)

Question

I was just wondering if genioplasty can achieve going from a rounded chin to a flatter chin (from profile view). I put pictures to illustrate what I mean. What other kinds of procedure could achieve this result?

Your chin projection looks good, however, the length of your chin appears short and therefore gives you a deep mentolabial fold and and rounded appearance. I would recommend a CT scan to determine your chin height. A  vertical lengthening genioplasty will likely give you the look that you want.

If you look at the actual chin, only on the two pictures you’ve included, you may recognize that your own chin actually projects more than the one in your wish picture.
The lack of projection is not necessarily in the mentalis part of the mandible, but further back in the body of the mandible.
Look at the relationship of the upper lip and the lower lip in your picture in comparison to The wish picture.
The problem isn’t so much to Chin but the overall size of the mandible.
This means extending the chin further will deepen the labiomental fold 
I suggest having a few in person, consultations with plastic surgeons or oral surgeons in your community.
Both specialties offer insight into this type of procedure.
It’s important to make an accurate assessment and have a good understanding of what the true problem is.
