Tummy tuck necessary/ worth it? (Photo)

Hello; You are young. You have very little skin laxity; in both your upper and lower abdomen. Since you have not given birth; there is no separation, in the abdominal muscles. Abdominoplasty is both unnecessary and it is not possible to perform for a Full Abdominoplasty. If a Full Abdominoplasty is organized; since there is no excess skin in your upper abdomen; either your Abdominoplasty scar has to be planned above or the incision; resulting from the release of the belly button; cannot be completely removed and will have to be stitched vertically in the lower abdomen. If a Mini Abdominoplasty is performed instead of a Full Abdominoplasty, your skin tightening in the lower abdomen; will increase. However, it will not have an affect on the upper abdominal skin tightening. If you were a patient who came to me; I would honestly recommend for Vaserlipo to realize fat reduction and Renuvion J Plasma or Bodytite techniques for skin tightening. With this treatment; without an incision, you can both get rid of from your fat and achieve a tightening of up to 30% in your skin.

If the loose skin is what bothers you, a tummy will remove the excess loose skin. Some of the abdominal distension you have could be caused from visceral fat internally which only diet and exercise can get rid of. Being that you have not had any children, it may be best to wait if you plan on having children in the future. If you have a tummy tuck and get pregnant afterwards, you may need an additional surgery after pregnancy.

Thanks for your question! Based on the photos, I think a tummy tuck is overkill. You could probably correct some of your roundness with exercise. Also, to be doing this at a young age prior to children seems like a mistake as well. Good luck!

From the pictures, you don't seem to be a candidate for a tummy tuck. Your round belly is probably because of your posture and relaxed muscle tone. That is easily fixed with toning your abs and working in a targeted fashion.

Abdominoplasty is a powerful procedure that can help correct excess skin/skin laxity, excess fat and separation of abdominal muscles. Thank you for providing photos. I am unsure if you have enough skin laxity for a tummy tuck procedure to be meaningful for you. You would need an in-person consultation to assure your candidacy for abdominoplasty or lipoabdominoplasty.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you don't have much loose skin. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

You have not stated your age or the plan for future pregnancy. However, if you are planning future pregnancies, I do not recommend a tummy tuck at this time. You are a borderline case and you will be trading a flat stomach for a wide scar.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Based on these photos, I would recommend liposuction + renuvion. I don’t believe that you will need a tummy tuck unless you have significant muscle separation.
