Female. Healthy. 55 yrs old. I have not heeled since my neck lift in Jan 2015. As you can see below, in August I noticed visible lymph nodes on right side of neck, my PS disclosed to me, he had complications in the OR w/bleeding and a lot of cauterization on the side where lymph nodes were present. Lymph nodes removed by EMT Oct. 30th. No organisms found only bacteria present. My pain levels have increased post surgery. I'm seeking any advice and desperate to find answers to this rare case.

Answer: Consultation Required I have reviewed your previous posts on this issue. As you can tell from the previous posts, lymphadenopathy as a result of a necklift is extremely rare. Copious bleeding in a necklift should also be rare, but shouldn't stimulate enlarged lymph nodes. The phrase, "no organisms found only bacteria present" is confusing. What type of bacteria? I think that you need to have the bacteriology reviewed by an Infectious disease specialist.

Answer: Very rare case, neck lift Jan 2015, lymph nodes removed in Oct 2015. Losing faith and running out of options, advice? The enlarged lymph nodes should not be an issue related to the surgery. My suggestion would be to seek the advice of a board certified Otolaryngologist or Infectious Disease specialist in order to investigate better why you are having this issue.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus DiazNatural beauty Plastic Surgery
