Thank you for your question. In my practice I allow my patients to shower the day of the procedure and to soak in a tub at three weeks. Please discuss this with your surgeon. Good luck.
As long as you have no wound healing problems a bath at 4 weeks is fine. Do realize if you soak in a very warm tub for a long time you may notice some temporary increased swelling and the incisions may look a little macerated (moist). So not too hot and not too long. Jane
This question is best answered by your surgeon as she/he is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery. In general I advise my patients that it is okay to take a bath, swim in a pool, or go in the ocean six weeks after surgery with normal healing.
Most patients will be able to take a bath at 4 weeks, however, please check with your surgeon first. Your surgeon can check your incisions and see if you can progress to a bath.
Congratulations on having undergone the explantation/lift operations. You will be best off running this question by your plastic surgeon who knows how you are progressing, whether or not you are experiencing any type of complication, and is ultimately responsible for your care. Advice you have received online may not be relevant. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with long-term.
Thank you for your question. I typically with allow my patients to shower after 48 hours and soak in a bath after 4 weeks as long as they are healing well. Every surgeon has their own recommendations and it would be ideal for you to check with your plastic surgeon before soaking in a bath.
You should (normally) be able to take one at this point in your recovery. To be sure, touch base with your own plastic surgeon.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of #RealSelf100
Check with your surgeon. In general, taking a bath is usually fine at this stage of healing. Best to you!
It is best to speak to your PS about when bathing is allowed following this type of procedures. Typically at this point if there is no delay in the healing of your incisions you should be able to take a bath, but as mentioned you should speak to your surgeon before proceeding.

Thank you for the question. When breast implants are removed, the overlying breast skin/tissue tends to contract ( "bounce back") to some degree. This degree of contraction will vary from one patient to another depending on the patient's skin/tissue characteristics. For example, the amount of...
