Saline implant removal. Will they be smaller than the original, sag, or will they look about the same?

When implants are removed, the breast shape will depend upon many factors including: 1) How elastic is the skin and breast tissue, 2) weight loss or gain, and 3) pregnancy after the augmentation.  The breast shape is typically flatter and droopier than the pre-augmentation shape after the implants are removed.

Without the current pictures and the benefit of physical exam- it's difficult to comment accurately. Therefore, we don't know what kind of anatomical changes you had after 10 years of having implants. So, your post -explant condition will depend upon many factors. I would discuss it with your Surgeon during your in person exam.

HelloWith saline implants, a helpful technique can be to sterilely puncture and deflate the implants in the office before making a definitive plan for a next step. The breasts often look somewhat lumpy and odd right at first, but after several weeks, the appearance usually improves. This gives some women a better idea of what they might look like without implants. If you were happy with your appearance at that point, you could simply have the implant shells removed under local anesthesia. If you decided that you weren't happy with the result, you could make a plan with your surgeon for more surgery. Small breasted women who have moderate sized implants (like you) often do just fine with removal of their implants, as long as they have realistic expectations and can accept a somewhat "deflated" appearance.Best wishes-
