There is nothing on your photo to suggest that you have tuberous breasts. Breasts are never perfect, and your nipples are slightly low on the breast mounds, but they are still very attractive.
Your breasts are not tuberous. However, your nipples are pointing downward and you would benefit from a circumareola lift to elevate the nipple-areola complex higher on the chest wall. At the same time or later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hello and thank you for posting. No you do not have tuberous breasts. Breast come in all shapes and sizes so this is completely normal. The distance from your breast fold to your areola is short in comparison to the rest of your breasts, but this is only one of the characteristics that may be associated with tuberous breasts. Correctly placed implants, filling out your lower pole, will increase volume between the fold and the areola improving your overall breast shape. If necessary, or maybe in a future procedure, you may benefit from a a crescent lift or a donut lift. Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota
It seems we all want a breast shape and size we don’t have! It’s part of what keeps me so busy as a breast surgeon ;)You do have a slightly more narrow “base width” below the nipple and a slightly short “nipple-to-fold distance” compared to the “aesthetic ideal”, but you do not have tuberous breasts. Your breasts are totally normal, and many patients would be happy with your breasts as an “after result”. You have upper breast fullness and cleavage as well as good symmetry compared to many patients I see. Enjoy your breasts! In 20 years you’ll look back at these photos and wonder why you questioned how beautiful you are. I can tell you that from both personal and professional experience.
Hello, Your unique anatomy is what makes your breast mounds slightly separated from the norm. They also lack usual bottom fullness that can easilly be resolved by either Fat Grafting-augmentation or by the use of Over-the-muscle breast implants. Both options are safe and short surgical procedures.
Dear lonelygirl,For some reason many participants on this site are concerned about tuberous breasts and do not actually have tuberous breasts. Fortunately, you are one of them. You may have ONE minor component of tuberosity on ONE breast. Your breasts are normal. Good luck!
OHIP does not typically cover any cosmetic breast surgery, including for the correction of tubular breasts.
Thanks for your excellent question and photos. If you do have a tuberous breast change then it is mild with subtle herniation of the nipple areola complex. In my opinion, you would do well with a straightforward breast augmentation with implants which will increase your breast volume and stretch...
Tuberous breasts are a condition characterized by the abnormal development of the breasts during puberty. This can result in breasts that appear elongated or constricted at the base, with a high and tight inframammary fold, and often with enlarged, puffy areolas. The shape may vary, but common...
