Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You may have a small amount of tuberous deformity, but the shape and size of the breasts can be enhanced with either fat grafting of breast implants.
Tuberous breast deformity is a wide spectrum of breast aesthetic appearances related to tight constricting fascia of the breast. When this fascia is too tight (in varying amounts), it can result in a wide range of nipple herniation/asymmetries/bulges and high riding/constricted breast folds with small lower poles. The method of correction is the same in most of these patients. This includes placing a highly cohesive silicone gel implant below the muscle with a proper dual plane augmentation and releasing any constricting fascial bands to permit the implant to exert its effects on the breast. These can be highly challenging surgeries. You need to find a highly experienced American Board of Plastic Surgery Certified Surgeon with extensive aesthetic breast surgery experience.
Tuberous breast deformity, also known as tubular breasts, is a condition where the breasts develop with an unusual shape during puberty. This condition is characterized by several features: a constricted breast base, causing the breast to appear narrow and elongated; herniation of breast tissue into the areola, which can cause the areola to appear puffy or enlarged; and a higher than usual inframammary fold, making the lower part of the breast lack fullness. The severity of these characteristics can vary, and in mild cases, the deformity might not be very pronounced. If you suspect you have tuberous breasts and are seeking treatment, it's wise to consult with a plastic surgeon who specializes in breast surgery. Treatment options typically include:Breast Augmentation: To provide fullness and improve the shape of the breast.Mastopexy (Breast Lift): To raise and reshape the breasts, which can include resizing the areola to a more typical proportion.Tissue Expansion: This involves using an implant or expander to stretch the skin and breast tissue, helping to correct the constricted base.Fat Grafting: Fat from other areas of the body is injected into the breast to improve shape and fullness, particularly in the lower pole of the breast.Combination Therapies: Often, a combination of these treatments is used to achieve the best cosmetic result, tailored to the severity of the deformity and the patient’s desires.
Your breasts are not tuberous but small. You would benefit from a circumareola approach to lift the nipple-areola complex higher and place implants if you want additional volume.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear sincere442950,Thank you for your pictures. It really helps to provide the most accurate recommendation short of a in person consultation. You may have a very mild form of tuberous breast formation, nonetheless whether it's tuberous breast formation (mild) , or just breast a symmetry you would benefit from breast augmentation. I prefer in these situations, saline implants because they are adjustable meaning that you can place different volumes into each breast to help symmetry. Some surgeons may represent and silicone implants that are different sizes. If that is recommended that surgeon must have supreme accuracy in determining what the actual difference in volumes would be so that he/she can select the right sizes because at the end of the day silicon breast implants are not adjustable!Best wishes,ESJ,#TruthAndTransformation.
Thank you for your question and photos. An examination in person would be required to properly evaluate you and make specific treatment recommendations, but it appears that you simply have relatively small breasts. If you desire a larger breast size it appears that you would be a candidate for breast augmentation. Please seek out a board certified plastic surgeon whose gallery and reviews resonate with you. Best of luck to you.
I appreciate your concerns however it appears from your photos that you do not have tuberous breasts, but they are simply smaller and a bit wider apart. In person exam would be needed to confirm, but it appears that breast augmentation would be your best option. Come see me or another board certified plastic surgeon in our area to explore the best options for you. Best of luck.
