Am I too overweight to get laser lipo? Will it make a difference? (photo)

Smart Lipo would be a
good option for you, especially at such a young age. You may have some skin and
muscle laxity that would be better fixed through a tummy tuck, but if you are
planning to have children you should definitely try liposuction first.

Your back and flanks
would be greatly improved. Your abdomen will see improvement and since
Smart Lipo can offer skin tightening you'd likely see a difference. Make sure
you see a surgeon is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery. They won't steer you
wrong.

Liposuction will remove a great deal of fat with the right surgeon, but I think skin removal with liposuction would give the most improvement.Find a board certified plastic
surgeon who performs hundreds of liposuction and liposuction revision
procedures each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before
and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the

The liposuction will thin the fat layer quite effectively. The loose hanging skin will be a problem though. I think it is reasonable to try the Smart Lipo IF you are willing to accept residual loose skin and the possibility that a second skin removal procedure may be needed. Ask your surgeon when you consult, physical exam is really the best way for someone to tell how much skin tightening they think you might get from SL.

Make sure you seek a board certified plastic surgeon who is comfortable and capable of doing the following procedures: 1) Abdominoplasty 2) Standard liposuction 3) Laser lipolysis (SmartLipo).  That way, you will get an unbiased opinion of what will be best for you.  Just looking at your photos, I do not think you are a good candidate for laser lipolysis alone.

It is best to consult with a surgeon and let
them access the area and see if you are a candidate. Smartlipo will remove all
unwanted stubborn fat deposits while tightening the skin. Smartlipo contours
the body while tightening the skin with less downtime and side-effects.

It's difficult to tell from the photo if liposuction of any type will correct the problem that bothers you. If you have good thick skin elasticity in the area and the area is just fat then SmartLipo should definitely address the problem. If there are stretch marks and loose skin, or separation of the underlying muscles that are causing the problem, SmartLipo or any other form of liposuction are unlikely to help. See a board certified plastic with an expertise in body contouring in your area for a detailed consultation. They should be able to answer your concerns more specifically.
