My surgery was January 4th. I went to my pre op the day before, and had honestly walked in as a ball of nerves. After the APPT I felt even more comfortable (Dr. Mackenzie is a godsend). He answered every, and all questions I had plus some. He made sure I had my meds ready for the next day, and went in detail about how everything would go over. We arrived at 645 AM on the 4th to the surgical center. I was so sick over the what ifs? But I gained my strength. I had never been put to sleep or had any sort of general Anesthesia so my Anxiety (which I suffer from) was immense. The nurse quickly came in and began to chat with me, and truly made me feel at ease. She even put on my music of choice (which we joked about). She helped me a ton just to feel comfy. When doctor came in to do the markings he laughed at my musical choice, and that lead to quite a chat. Doctor discussed the markings he was doing, and made sure I was happy and ready to go. He again kept reminding me of the fact that I was in very good hands. Once all done I was laid down and wheeled into the OR. After I got in there everyone was so nice. Nurses talking to me, and the anesthesiologist made me feel very calm. He offered me the pre meds to make me feel at ease but I declined. He than put the mask on and asked me what to dream of, I said just to wake up and see my husband and kids again. He then said he will make sure it happens, and than I was asleep. Upon awaking I politely yet unbeknownst the me said "Good morning Sunshine, want some coffee". The next morning I was supposed to have my post op check in. I was so dizzy due to my lack of keeping hydrated that Dr. Mackenzie came to my hotel, and checked all incisions, and changed out all bandages. He also brought a giant bottle of coconut water. (Thanks doc) the pain has been manageable, and I have been able to reach the doctor, and his staff with each and every question. Also; his staff is wonderful and responds to all emails and calls in a timely manner. If you are looking for a doctor with amazing bedside manner, compassion for his patients, and is just as eager to get you the results you want than look no further. Dr. Douglas J. Mackenzie went above and beyond my expectations, and even at 12 days post op he is still 100% involved, and just as supportive/concerned when it comes to my recovery. He has a true love for his craft, and for his patients. If you haven't added him to your consult list, you should. You won't be disappointed!

Dr. Mackenzie and his staff are the best. I've had several procedures done at his office. Most recently I had a mini lower facelift. My results are very natural looking and I'm so pleased with how I look. Last year I had a breast lift and that turned out amazing as well. I've also done Smartskin Laser, IPL and Picosure laser there. I highly recommend Dr MacKenzie for all plastic surgery needs, laser treatments, injections and facials.

I received an explantation from Dr. Douglas Mackenzie on April 19, 2017. I received my first set of implants when I was younger upon recommendation from a doctor I was seeing due to certain medical issues. After 2 ruptures and several surgeries later I looked into explantation due to a long list of symptoms I was having which could not be explained. A doctor suggested to me that I look into breast implant illness, and might want to consider removal. I was shocked at the stories I read that were so much like my own from women that were having some of the same complications and symptoms. Implants are so toxic with many of the chemicals that make them up being hazardous to ones health. These implants are slowly poisoning us. It's just a matter of time. I am so happy this time that I followed my doctors advice! Explantation without reimplanting is a very specialized surgery. I was so worried about the outcome since I had them for so long and wanted to choose a doctor that was excellent with this type of procedure. Not all are...I was so happy to find Dr. Mackenzie. He specialized in this type of explantation/with breast capsule removal to ensure that all of the toxic parts are removed. His office and staff are excellent. I could not be happier with my choice in him and in the removal. I have had immediate relief in some symptoms and slow recovery in some others. I highly recommend this doctor and office.

I researched for about a year before I decided to go with Dr. Mackenzie and my research paid off because he has skills! His experience shows in his work. He didn’t try to sell me tons of dreams and didn’t tell me how amazing he is. I explained what I wanted and he came up with a plan... Dr. Mackenzie by far exceeded my hopes & expectations.

Dr. Mackenzie is a fantastic surgeon. I have been his patient since 2006. I returned to him to discuss my options for a ruptured implant and other things I had in mind, but wasn't 100% sure if I could afford or would follow thru with. He and his staff have always been so helpful and trustworthy. I am 3 weeks post-op with brand new Sientra breast implants which I find to really like more than what I had implanted previously. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Mackenzie and his entire staff is just amazing and very friendly. A girlfriend of mine just booked her consult with him. I would highly recommend Dr. Mackenzie for any cosmetic surgery. The nursing staff on the day of surgery was also amazing, they made me feel very comfortable and safe.

I chose Dr. Mackenzie to perform an earlobe surgery to correct a deformity I was born with. It bothered me for my entire life and I obsessively kept it covered for over 20 years. Dr M did 2 procedures to get the shape looking like a normal ear. I am SO happy. If I ever consider any other procedures, I will absolutely choose him again.

I have scheduled several treatments with Cassie over the past few years. She is smart, caring, and professional. (She also makes me laugh!)

I have some old burn scars that have developed scar tissue over the past several years. The scar tissue has effected my mobility. Through the use of lasers, Cassie was able to help break down the scar tissue and restore mobility to the affected areas. Through my experiences with Cassie, I developed trust and admiration for the entire staff at Pacific Plastic Surgery.

Recently Cassie suggested an upper eye lift over Botox to permanently correct the heaviness of my upper lids. I thought about how nice it would be not to depend on Botox for something that could be corrected under local anesthesia. I scheduled the procedure with Dr. Mackenzie three days ago.

I feel fantastic. I have very little bruising. I can tell when my stitches are removed in a few days I'm going to look and feel so much better!

This office, led by Dr. Mackenzie, offers so much more than your typical spa/surgery center. They genuinely care about you. They want you to feel secure and well cared for, and it shows. Their actions speak for themselves. They are healers and caregivers. I truly appreciate being fortunate enough to receive such wonderful care from such highly educated and naturally gifted people.

I was a small 32B & wanted a small natural looking bump up to a full C or D. I went to about 5 consultations in Santa Barbara, all the doctors suggested a size WAY larger than I thought appropriate, most were around 450 cc. I opted for a much smaller implant than suggested & decided on smooth round moderate profile 275 cc. I was shown 3D imagine which made it look like a 275 implant would do next to nothing to make my chest larger. Against my doctors suggestions, I went the small route anyways. It is PERFECT! Everyone in the office told me I would want bigger when all was said & done but I am so happy with the size. 32D is perfect proportion to my body (32D breast, 25 waist, 36 hips) & I'm so happy to not have to search for bras in my size. I choose Dr. Mackenzie because he had great reviews & offered incision through armpit. It was important to me not to have any scarring visible on or under my breasts. I think he did a good job. There is a bit of asymmetry, which the office staff dismissed at check up visit (which was frustrating). It' so small of a difference though, nothing noticeable through clothing & no on else has really noticed until I've pointed it out.

Hello All...I am happy to report day 2 with no more pain pills!!Whhhooooo! I still have mild soreness but it is very bareable. Bandages came off yesterday. Yesterday I was able to shower and never thought a shower could be so challenging. Lol.. I got to see the twins and BOY ARE THEY BEAUTIFUL! It makes this temporary discomfort worth it in the long run. I do have to say I was very surprised to have a daily queeze and cramps tummy. Didn't get sick..just had the feeling that I wanted to be sick. Hope you all are having a speedy recovery ????
