How many days will I need to take off work if I had smart-Lipo or Laser Lipo on my outter thighs and lower abs?

While the downtime for
Smart Lipo can vary from patient to patient, the initial healing period should
just be a couple of days.Since
there are no hard and fast rules for the surgery and each patient reacts
differently. You can help the
swelling by eating a low salt diet, drinking a lot of water and keeping your
compression garment on as much as possible for at least two weeks after
surgery. You should definitely follow up with your doctor about any concerns.

If the work is not strenuous you may only need a few days or a week away from work.Liposuction results are highly surgeon dependent. Find a board certified plastic
surgeon who performs hundreds of liposuction and liposuction revision
procedures each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before
and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the

Everyone heals at a different rate, but I would imagine that you would need at least 1 week of healing time. If your job requires more strength and/or activity then perhaps 3-4wks would be better.

question. Post-op Smartlipo you will have minimal swelling and bruising, which
will last nearly 2 weeks. You can go about your everyday routine after the
procedure with no exercising for at least one week. Don’t push yourself and
continue to wear the compression garment and you see great results.

In most cases, patients who have SmartLipo or Laser Lipo surgery, on the outer thighs and lower abdomen, canreturn to a desk job within the first week after the procedure.  If your job requires strenuous exercise or heavy lifting, give yourself 3 to 4 weeks off before returning to work.  Best wishes.
