Does skin hang lose after liposuction? Worried about getting abdomen/flanks lipo-ed then having lose skin hanging.

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  It depends on the amount of skin laxity you have.  If you have good skin elasticity, then liposuction can be very effective.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.

If you have a lot of loose skin already, liposuction will only make it looser. Your stomach may not be as flat as you’d like as a result, because the loose skin will hide it. A tummy tuck would be a better option if you want to tighten up loose skin. However, if you have firm skin with good elasticity, then it might be able to retract enough after liposuction. So, it’s important that you’re examined by a reputable board certified plastic surgeon. They’ll be able to let you know if you liposuction or a tummy tuck will achieve your goals.

If the the skin in the area of liposuction is loose or droopy to begin with, it is likely that it will become even worse after the operation.  Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations. 

Liposuction is a great option for removing belly fat. Excess/loose skin after lipo can happen if you already have loose skin to begin with. If this is a concern of yours I would recommend speaking with your plastic surgeon about it. Wearing a compression garment following surgery can also help to keep skin tight after surgery. 

The answer to this question depends upon your anatomy and the skill of the surgeon.  Loose skin is a possibility after liposuction as lipo will not improve skin quality. many factors go into how the skin will respond to lipo. In general, if you have loose skin, then it will likely stay a bit loose afterwards.

  If is skin is tight from the beginning  it usually doesn't hang.
 following liposuction,  especially vaser or laser assisted liposuction also tighten skin up to certain extent.

Thank you for your question. If  you have loose skin on the stomach and you perform a lipo without a tummy tuck you can expect loose skin to appear. It is a bigger decision to also go for a tt but the results will be so much better.Best of luck
