It is likely that what you are seeing is a superficial stitch abscess which has drained. While these generally go on to heal uneventfully you should really be checked out by a ps to be sure the implant is not involved.

I understand your concern. However, it is difficult to assess your incision site with mere pictures. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon to have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

While this is typically a localized superficial abscess related to suture material, I would recommend following up with your plastic surgeon for a quick assessment.  A physical exam is the best way to ensure nothing more serious is occurring around the implant.  Good luck with your recovery.

Yes, I think it would be worthwhile seeing a doctor for this localized infection.  You probably will be put on antibiotics, and possibly even have the incision opened a little more to let the pus drain freely.  If left untreated, the infection could go on to infect the implant, which would be a bigger problem.  Better to take care of it at this stage.

Yes, if there’s any sign of possible infection you need to see your surgeon right away. A careful exam can tell you more about what’s happening with your incision. 

Continue to monitor the area and contact your surgeon to discuss the situation. Concerns to be aware of are if the drainage continues or if the incision becomes red or painful or if you develop other symptoms such as fever. Until then keep the area clean and dry.

I am sorry you are having a problem. The photos are very helpful. It is likely that you have a small superficial infection related to your stitches. Typically these kinds of problems are able to heal without too much difficulty. I suggest you see your PS to help manage this. Good luck.

As others have stated this could simply be a reaction to a buried dissolving stitch. However, without an examination it is impossible to say. Any possibility of an infection  with an implant needs to be taken seriously. Please contact your surgeon to discuss this with them.

Hi. This is mostly likely a bit of local infection around a partially extruding suture. I think that it would be prudent to see a doctor as you may need to have the suture removed to allow for normal healing. It is usually a small problem that is easily solved, but don't neglect it as it can potentially escalate in to an infection of the implant which would be very problematic.
