I would need to see you in person but from the photo I think that maybe gravity is pulling your large breasts down and this is simply a fold where the skin is being pulled. If it disappears when you lay on your back I think that is probably what it is. Please get an in person evaluation. Good luck.
Dear RebeccaGlacier,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hi, based upon the photos provided, there appears to be skin in the medial/cleavage area that is folded. However, without knowing your surgical history and performing an exam, it would be difficult to exactly say what is occurring, and more importantly, suggest any correction or expected changes with weight gain. I would recommend following up with your plastic surgery for evaluation. Good luck.Dr. E Wright
There are visible skin folds between the breasts. Tissue should be left there to avoid symmastia. Further evaluation by your surgeon is recommended.
This is occurring because your implants are likely below the muscle and do not go as far medially (towards the midline) as your breasts do. While this can be corrected with surgery, there is some risk of the pockets becoming so close together that they actually merge in the center, a condition caused synmastia. Another option would be some fat grafting into the space to fill out the skin more fully. Consultation with your plastic surgeon will better inform you of your options.
Thank you for your question. This look like a skin fold. Need a physical exam to get more info. Please see your PS for evaluation.
Implant is stopping shy of this skin fold. This will not go away without a formal revision of this operation.
Hi - This can be seen at times when a patient has extra skin in the middle. If a breast lift is done during the first surgery - if a person needs it - then that skin can be addressed directly. When just placing implants the breast footprint of skin accepts the implant but the implant doesn't necessarily change all aspects of the loose skin. I would imagine that your skin might be susceptible to further stretch with time so if you can wear a supportive bra or similar as much as you can. All the best - Dr. Bekanich
While I would always want to evaluate a patient in person before making a plan, your photos are consistent with stretching of your skin as the implant has moved downward on your chest. As the implant has settled, some of the stretched skin is now showing above as it has been "left behind." This is a difficult problem and can require repositioning of the implant by closing off the pocket, and/or adding extra support to the base of the pocket. The larger and heavier implants are, the more likely that this can come back. Sometimes taking out extra skin with a lift will also be needed, but the bigger the implants are, the more likely this is to keep on happening.
Hi jlazaro, I understand your concern. There is not standard protocol when it comes to nipple piercings during breast augmentation surgery. You should speak with your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. Every surgeon has his/her protocol to follow when it comes to these matters. Daniel Ba...
Hi curiouscatxo, Tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal...
Thank you for your question and I am sorry to hear of your recovery issues. After an augmentation the nerves of the skin are stretched as a result of swelling and the increased volume of the implants. This stretching irritates the nerves which can cause a number of different nipple and b...

Don't worry about trying to do a pencil or pinch test. That's not how we decide who needs a lift. ;) I'm glad you are doing your research though and trying to learn who is a good candidate for a lift. Generally speaking it depends on where your nipple areola complex sits in relation to your ...
