2 years out.Deep plane had sharp pain under jaw one side, i believe nerve damage for 6 weeks. Still numb from ear to under chin, nerves caught in scar tissue or fibrosis. One side. Interf with lymph drainage . Puffy under Chin. Annoying! possibly from lipo in jowl area? Annoying

At two years post–facelift, persistent numbness, localized fullness, and the sensation of tethering are most often related to residual fibrosis or scar-related nerve irritation rather than ongoing healing. While temporary nerve disturbance is common early on, prolonged symptoms like yours may indicate that small sensory nerves are affected within scar tissue, and that lymphatic flow may be partially compromised in that area. Non surgical treatments such as targeted massage, lymphatic drainage, radiofrequency therapy, or corticosteroid injections can sometimes soften fibrosis and improve symptoms. In more resistant cases, minor surgical release (such as subcision or scar revision) may be considered to address tethering and improve contour. A thorough in person evaluation is essential to differentiate between these causes and determine the most appropriate, tailored treatment plan.

I would recommend a revision as the submental area looks like it was severely undertreated or there was some type of failure related to the surgery. I would recommend finding a legitimate American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon with extensive ffacelift experience, ideally one who has also completed an endorsed The Aesthetic Society fellowship.
