Hello. I’m 26 years old and have been struggling with my eyes since I was a teenager. I have very hooded eyes, and very deep tear troughs. This along with how puffy my upper and lower eyes get, just makes my eyes looks 10 years older than I am. Something needs to be done. I’m looking into an upper and lower bleph, however, if it’s recommended, I’m also okay with just a lower bleph. Someone please give me advice on the best procedure for my problem area that will provide a natural look.
Answer: You did not supply the most important photo of you looking straight ahead. It is essential to understand that most blepharoplasty is not done by aesthetic eyelid specialists. Most blepharoplasty is performed by general plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, dermatologists, and other physicians and surgeons offer cosmetic surgery. Not all of this work is good enough to satisfy a beautiful young person with minor cosmetic concerns. The more subtle the concern, the more narrow the pathway to improvement. You have upper eyelid ptosis. You have full upper eyelid folds. It is all too common for eyelids like your to be skeletonized by eyelid surgery and for the ptosis to be left unaddressed. This leads to what I call post blepharoplasty syndrome. For your lower eyelids, less is more as well. For many years lower eyelid filler could provide an excellent non-surgical alternative. There is no substitute for a detailed in person assessment. Your eyes can be your best feature.

Answer: Surgical vs Non-Surgical Eyelid Lift | Upper Lower (Quad) Blepharoplasty | Hooded | Dermatochalasis | Bags | Bulging Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this, depending on your particular situation. UPPER EYELIDS: -NON-SURGICAL: For less significant upper eyelid skin excess or more mild improvement, there are nonsurgical treatments: Radiofrequency (Thermage or Venus Legacy/Viva), injectable fillers, and a Botox brow lift can help contour the eyebrows and lift the eyelid skin. -SURGERY: browlift and/or upper blepharoplasty is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if the hooded eyelids have more excess skin present. LOWER EYELIDS: -NON-SURGICAL: For less significant puffiness and sagging UNDER the eyes, or more mild improvement, there are nonsurgical treatment options: we often use Renuvion helium plasma radiofrequency (RF) energy to achieve incredible results and take years off of your appearance. Combining RF energy and cool helium plasma, the signs of aging (wrinkles, pigmentation, skin laxity) are improved in a ‘Nonsurgical Lower Eyelid Lift.' The focused heating tightens and peels the outer skin layer with extreme precision, leaving the surrounding area undamaged, smoothing and tightening the periorbital skin, and improving the overall skin quality around the eyes. It's an aggressive treatment, and the recovery time is longer than with other nonsurgical procedures, but the results can be life-changing. -SURGERY: A lower blepharoplasty (with or without canthopexy/canthoplasty or orbicularis muscle suspension) is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if there are more severe lower eyelid bags / bulging present. Sometimes the surgery can also be used to intentionally adjust the shape and/or size of your eyes, or correct any asymmetries! Dr. Donald Groves is an expert facial plastic surgeon that I work with, who specializes in all these types of procedures. It is important that if you are considering surgery that you go to someone who is well trained and very experienced with these delicate operations to get the best results. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Am I a candidate? Further photos or an in person exam are needed to determine if you are a good candidate for either an upper or lower blepharoplasty or both. You may find that you can consider less aggressive options and still achieve good results. Some options would be AccuTite, Morpheus8 or fillers. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Upper Lower eyelid Hi dear. I think you need definitely both upper and lower eyelid. But while surgeon performing lower eyelid, he should do fat transpositioning not fat removal. So Midface part looks more beautiful. Please contact with us for more info. +90 541 244 56 54
