My dr recommend getting their garmet, which I did but it is a fully body length garmet that covers your back and goes into a bra in the front . They said that the ones with the wholes kill your fat cells and you’ll loose your fat quicker ? Which style is best for bbl fat transfer

Hello and thank you for your question. Compression garment use is unique depending on each surgeon. I recommend using a compression garment that is known as a first stage during the first month after surgery. Once that garment has become loose, I recommend that the patient begin to use a stage to garment which is tighter and provides more compression. No one-size garment fits all approach is recommended. Every patient is measured in my office to ensure that they are wearing their appropriate garment. Recommend that you follow the post-operative guidelines provided by your PS as PSs vary in their recommendations based upon experience and training.  I utilize an adjustable compression garment to help manage and prevent fluid collections after liposuction.  It is a method to close dead space following liposuction while the flap adheres to the underlying abdominal wall.  The compression garment is far more important in aggressive liposuction than in conservative liposuction.

The type of garment depends on the surgeon's selection, for these procedures, I recommend a full body garment to my patients.
I suggest you to visit a board certified plastic surgeon for a personal evaluation and to talk about your goals.

Which style is best for bbl fat transferDefinitely follow your plastic surgeons instructions. In my practice, after surgery, I recommend that there is no pressure on your skin over the fat graph areas in your buttocks. Do not sit on it, do not lay on it, do not put garments over it,  do not wear tight clothing over it,  and just let it expand and stretch. Make the skin stretch passively with edema and swelling by sleeping on an army or camping sleeping cot with your buttocks hanging through  a modified hole in the cot. Which allows passive edema  and gravity to swell the buttock volume and stretch the self-contracting skin over your buttocks. Allowing your skin to stretch and makes more room for blood supply and growth of the native fat and muscle cells which are growth stimulated by the transferred fat grafts.
