Flight with stiffness 7 months after Facelift. Will I be okay to fly?

You should be fine to fly at this point. Most surgeons would allow air travel after about a week. Some patients have prolonged discomfort in the neck and ears following facelift surgery due to temporary or (sometimes) permanent injury to the nerve (Great Auricular Nerve) that supplies sensation to the ears and sides of the cheek/neck area. Numbness in these areas can sometimes present as a "tightness". In most cases these sensations go away on their own. A follow up appointment and consultation with your surgeon might help relieve some of your concerns. I hope you find this information helpful.

In my own practice you would be permitted to fly even the next day after a facelift if it was necessary. Seven months is well into any safety zone.

There is no reason related to your surgery that would preclude you from flying.  If absolutely necessary, I allow my patients to fly at 7 days postop.  Most patients elect to wait a little bit longer.

At this point, seven months postop, you should be able to fly without restriction. The tightness  you are experiencing is likely due to  healing of your tissues.   I would recommend massage in the area of tightness three times a day  and follow-up with your surgeon. 

There should be no problem flying 7 months after a facelift, but I would agree that you should see your surgeon to determine why you are still having the stiffness at this point in your recovery.  

I don't think flying is a problem, but you need to check with your surgeon to see why you still have such face and neck stiffness at 7 months. That continued stiffness is my bigger concern.

There is no issue with flying at 7 months postop. It is advisable not to go on long flights within 4 weeks of surgery due to the increased risks of DVT/PE but you will be fine. Is there a reason why your neck and ears are stiff and have you had advise from your PS re massage and scar management? 

There are really NO restrictions at this point. Recovery is a process so you may still experience slow changes but flying or any other activities should be fine.
