I had my lips done with restylane yesterday " the doc" put 2 cc on my upper lip bc he was trying to leave geometric i have ni pain but this is too much..im on ice all the time but i think this is not normal
Answer: Swellig After Restylane Restylane is the one filler most associated with a "flash" swelling. Your Physician should be able to call in a steroid dose pack, something I preemptively do for all Restylane patients. However, 2 mL in the lips is a larger amount than I use for most patients. If you seek to have volume in your lips, Juvederm is usually a better choice due to its hydrophilic nature.

Answer: Two syringes of Restylane is a high starting dose in the lips. You can ice the lips to help resolve any swelling. Thank you for your question. It is common to have swelling after lip augmentation, which can take up 2 weeks to resolve. However, two syringes of Restylane is a high starting dose in the lips. You can ice the lips to help resolve any swelling. If after 2 weeks you are not happy with your results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. Personal history: some people will consistently swell more than others.Here are some things you can do to minimize swelling, bruising and recovery:1. Take Arnica montana before and after your injection2. Ice the treated area 10' every hour while awake 3. Ask your surgeon about a steroids by mouth if you have a history of severe swelling4. Answer: Swelling after Restylane Swelling always occurs with lip injection and usually subsides after a few days. Ice helps and some light massage. 2 syringes is a lot in the upper lip so if the swelling is there after a week check with your doctor
