IUpper blepharoplasty 14days ago. Once suture was removed, noticed bumps on both outerends. Day 12 and the PS said they were normal yet larger than normal. Injected both with cortisone&massaged them. Injected dysport into creases around bumps as they were compressing the bumps. Using moist heat&massaging them 3Xday for a week. Both little softer but still very obvious (left is harder) both are lumpier looking. Wanted to have him check today but he is on vacation now. Hoping someone can advise me.

Answer: Healing Blepharoplasty Incision You should see that bump begin to flatten over the next month. Steroid injections do not work overnight. They take time. But overall eyelid scars generally heal beautifully. Full Scar maturation can take 6-12 months.Good Luck.

Answer: Healing of upper blepharoplasty incisions Overall, upper blepharoplasty incisions heal without many issues or complaints. Your surgeon will follow your incisions very closely as they are healing, and if anything does come up he or she can be right on top of it to answer your questions and take care of it if needed. That seems to be the situation that you are having, these bumps that you are experiencing can occasionally form at the medial or lateral ends of the incision. It sounds like everything is being done correctly, massage, steroid injections, and most importantly time will most likely take care of them. With the small chance that these do not resolve the bumps, they can easily be re-excised, which is another procedure, but is a very minor procedure with just local anesthesia.Be patient and reassured that your surgeon is doing everything that he or she can, stay in close communication, and everything should work out with a good long-term result.
