Rather than waiting for 6-12 months?
Answer: Telogen and FUE Following FUE, the transplanted follicular units will enter their dormant state during which no growth occurs. This is known as "telogen" and is characterized by shedding which will precede the growth of a new hair shaft. The new hair regrowth will begin approximately 2 months later with evidence of the new shaft becoming apparent at approximately 4-6 months. As always discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS), with experience in hair restoration.

Answer: FUE hair transplant The normal course of recovery is for the transplanted follicles to enter into a dormant state for the first several months after a transplant. This normal state of follicle dormancy occurs whether by the FUE or the FUT donor hair harvesting technique. During this initial state there is minimal to no growth of the transplanted follicles. After 4-6 months the follicles start to regrow.

Answer: PRP and hair transplant The transplanted follicles will enter dormant state for first few months after the transplant. The grafts will shed a few weeks after the procedure and will remain dormant for the first few months, where there will be no growth of the transplanted follicles. At about the 4 month mark the follicles start to awaken and grow. At our clinic, we have seen patient’s experience earlier growth when the patient has PRP combined with the hair restoration procedure. Less grafts shed after the procedure and the dormant phase is lessened promoting early growth times.
