Why do I have half moon lines above my eyebrows mid center of forehead after Botox treatment?

Each time I get botox for My forehead and 11's i always get half moon deep wrinkle lines above each eye brow in the mornings that are centered on my forehead that end up staying the most of the day? I have asked why this is happening and they just keep calling it the spock. But I do not want the spock! I am currently getting 22 units in my 11's and in my forehead 11 units. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

I encourage you to study my Microdroplet Lift® method. This method leaves the forehead untreated.  However by treating the muscle at the eyebrow that pull the brow down, the lines in the forehead are elimated or reduced without the freeze.  Encourage your injector to learn the Microdroplet Lift® so you have have this treatment locally.

What you are describing is what we refer to as "Mephisto" lines.  This is associated with inadequate treatment to the lower lateral frontalis muscle. Some injectors are overly cautious in this area due to the risk of eyelid ptosis. This problem is eminently fixable with proper technique.

This is difficult to answer without seeing the situation but this is probably related to placement of the Botox.  Sometimes, it is difficult to treat the forehead because the lines in the desired area are too close to the eyebrow (Botox injected too close to eyebrow causes the eyebrow to droop) so the Botox placement is done higher which causes the Spock look.  If it is a deep wrinkle then you can consider a dermal filler in this area above the eyebrow.  It is always recommended to see an experienced skilled cosmetic surgeon for best results.

This is difficult to answer without pictures, but this could be due to Botox placement. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months. In the mean time, venus legacy or thermage treatments can soften these results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

This is common on some Botox patients. It is VERY easy to treat. And should only take 2-4 units to fix it. Go back to your injector and have them look at your area. Treating this will fix the problem and you will be very happy with your end result. Good luck.

This is due to incomplete Botox treatment. The lower part of your forehead muscles are still active after your 11s are treated which results in the spock look. This is easily remedied with proper placement of more Botox. It doesn't sound as though your injector is willing to do anything about it. I suggest you find a different doctor.As with all cosmetic treatments, the skill of the doctor is of utmost importance. Don't trust your face to just anyone! Consult with an expert in facial aesthetics to maximize your results while minimizing side effects. You'll be happier and save money in the long run.

This is happening because of the placement of the botox.  Your injector should be able to correct for this by adjusting the placement of the botox.  Discuss this with your injector. If it keeps happening I suggest you change to a more experienced provider.

You are getting the Spock or Mephisto look because the injections are not done lateral enough. this is because so many doctors are not trained properly in treating this area so be sure you see a board certified dermatologist and the injections laterally will easily fix this issue
