The Technician instead put Botox on both sides of the frown line. Not on it. Is that correct?
Answer: Botox for frown lines This is not an uncommon question. The botox needs to be injected into the muscles that contract to cause the frown lines therefore is usually not injected into the lines itself. Once the muscles relax the frown lines generally smooth out .

Answer: Botox is injected into the muscles Botox is not a filler as such as so is not injected directly into the frown line as you might imagine. The way Botox works is that it is injected into certain muscles to relax them. As a result, the overlying skin smooths out.

Answer: Botox to treat frown lines Botox and other neuromodulators such as Dysport and Xeomin work by preventing contraction of the muscles underlying facial wrinkles such as the "frown lines" in between the eyebrows. These muscles run perpendicular to the wrinkles that they cause, and so it is correct to inject these medications on either side of the line for appropriate treatment. Keep in mind that the results of Botox are often not visible until 5-7 days after injection, and it may take two weeks before you see the maximal effect. In order to receive the best treatment and minimize the risk of complications, I always recommend having injections performed by an expert physician injector. Best wishes,

Answer: Single frown line between my brows The vertical frown lines are caused by the actions of several groups of muscles (pairs of brow depressors) which cause the brows to move down and medially (towards each other). This will create the "11" vertical lines (horizontal contraction of muscles creates vertical skin lines). The procerus single muscle contracts in a vertical fashion and creates horizontal "11" lines in the region between the root of the nose and the mid brow. All these muscle groups are typically injected for treatment of frown lines. Botox will be distributed to the body of the muscles so the exact injection location in relation to the skin wrinkles is not important. It is important to inject the target muscles so their action is weakened and this will result in softening of the lines.
