Your hiatal hernia will not be even seen with your tummy tuck. The tuck is outside your abdominal muscles and the hernia is inside. The tuck will have no affect on your hernia.

Hiatal hernia is the entrance of upper stomack yowards the thoracal space. It can be worsened by increased abdominal pressure, which can happen after a tummy tuck operation.
So it is best to consult a general surgeon before planning this surgery, to understand if you’re eligable for this operation.

Your hiatal hernia will not impact your ability to have a tummy tuck. Nor should it impact your results. The next step is to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.

It is difficult to properly answer your question. If your hiatal hernia (HH) is very symptomatic, then tightening the abdominal muscles may increase the pressure inside your abdomen and accentuate your HH symptoms. It may have no affect on on symptoms. Impossible to predict.

You should probably talk to the general surgeon or gastrone to all just who’s evaluating you in regards to Hiatal hernias. If you have excess visceral fat then the procedure can potentially increase intra-abdominal pressure which could have some impact.
