Are my expectations of pubic fat pad reduction realistic?

Yes - this can typically be reduced in thickness by about 50%.  However, if there is skin laxity in that area as well, some sort of excisional skin tightening will be necessary for the best result.

Thank you for your question, and congratulations on your weight loss.  In the absence of a great deal of excess skin, liposuction is a quick, easy, and effective method of reducing suprapubic fat.  If, however, there is a significant amount of extra skin following losing the weight, direct excision of skin and fat may be necessary.

It sounds as though you have a treatable amount of fat in the pubic area. If so this is a fairly easy area to treat with liposuction using local anesthesia only.

The only way to determine which procedure is best for you is with a consultation.if your skin is elastic and not loose liposuction most likely will be indicated, if your skin is loose then you will probably need an excision procedure. Be sure you seek the advise of a board certified plastic surgeon, preferably a member of the American Society For Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, that will assure you of their training and commitment to cosmetic procedures.

Liposuction will be able to reduce the pubic mound by some amount but I doubt very highly that it will become much less thinner than an inch. There is a lot of fibrous tissue in a pubic mound that is not removeable by liposuction.There is also the issue of loose skin which may be making a contribution as well.

more and more frequently I am doing pubic fat-pad reduction. If liposuction doesn't remove enough fat then you could always go on to direct excision.
