I don't think enough fat was removed. What can I do?

This is what was removed on Mar 3 2015....i look no different. I'm swollen but I see no change at all ..i had my flanks upper n lower abs. My lower looks the same my flanks have no curve and i have natural curves..im do pissed

I suggest you speak to your physician, results are not aparent for 3-6 months and sometimes if more is needed to be removed or contouring needs to be done, this can be redone in another procedure.  However, i think it best if you are unhappy to find an expert, someone with experience who has full body contouring practice and sees a lot of revision cases.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Liposuction results take time - up to 3 months - to completely settle in and reveal themselves.  Your body's immediate response to the surgical removal of fat is to fill up that space with fluid.  The predictable result of this is swelling, usually accompanied by some bruising.  I counsel all of my liposuction patients that this begins on the operating table, and peaks at 3-5 days post-op, taking weeks to months to resolve, depending on the amount of liposuction performed and the body areas liposuctioned.  Swelling inevitably masks the result in the early post-op phase.  I have my patients wear cloth tape and compression garments, ideally for this entire 3 month period, to help control the swelling and to quicken its resolution.  Patience on your part will, inevitably, be rewarded.

Being only a couple of weeks after liposuction it's much too early to make a pronouncement about the results. Generally revisions are even considered for six months. It's likely you will not need one.

Hi lfreem07At just over 2 weeks post lipo, you should see a significant difference compared to pre op.  I don't know what was done obviously.  I do know that some people do take longer for the results.  I would recommend that you visit with your ps, look at pre-op pics, and discuss your concerns.  It may be that you are doing fine, just slow.Don 't be "pissed", get answers, keep communication open.sek

I ask my patients to not look into a mirror for a minimum of 8-12 weeks following surgery. It takes time to see your final results as there is swelling. Please contact you surgeon and make a follow up appointment to discuss your concerns.
