I have excess skin that makes it difficult to open my eyes fully and also I feel like I get headaches a lot from constantly arching my brows to hold up my eyes enough to see. Cosmetically, my eyes also look tired/droopy. I’m not sure however where to start. Can someone suggest a procedure I can look into? That way I can make sure I can find a specialist that has experience in that type of surgery.

Answer: Blepharoplasty may help possibly with temporoplasty The photos display very small, so it is somewhat difficult to assess well. However, you appear to have a downward cant at your lateral aspect of the eye, which is likely congenital and related to the underlying skeletal structure. That can't be changed without very invasive procedures. However, blepharoplasty is likely to help with opening the eyes fully and potentially ptosis repair, if indicated. In addition, a temporoplasty or galeapexy, may resolve some of the excess skin in the upper outer quadrant of each orbit. A BC plastic surgeon can advise this after exam. Good luck!

Answer: Eyelid surgery Hello, and thank you for your question. It looks like you would benefit from a combination browlift and upper eyelid Blepharoplasty (lift). You may also benefit from lower lid canthopexy/plasty to tighten up the tendon at the outer margin of your lower eyelid. This will lift the outer corner of your eye. A Board Certified Plastic Surgeon will be able to fully evaluate you and determine a plan to meet your goals. Best, Dr. Brostrom
