What can I do about severe back pain after Breast Augmentation?

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your discomfort after surgery.  Patients who do have tighter skin and muscle envelopes do tend to have more pain after placement of implants which tends to respond better to muscle relaxants than prescription pain medications.  Without a series of photographs it is difficult to offer definite advice and I would recommend discussing your concerns with your surgeon.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the question. I see that this post was 3 days ago, so I hope your pain has improved by now. I put all of my patients on Ibuprofen after breast augmentation as it helps to relax the muscles more. Prescription narcotic pain medication is better for nerve pain, but doesn't work as well for muscular pain like you're having. Check with you doctor before taking Ibuprofen as some doctors think it leads to an increased risk of bleeding. I hope you're feeling better. ~Dr. Sieber
