Im hoping the sides of my bottom lip are just swollen and not overfilled. They are still hard and i know it needs time. But is it possible they will go down more? They look great when i smile but at rest i feel like fish lips.
Answer: Swelling after Lip Fillers--wait 2 weeks Yes, swelling can be typical. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps!

Answer: Sometimes fillers are not the best treatment for lips If you need two syringes of filler to make your lips more visible, you may benefit from more than fillers. It appears that you have a long distance from the bottom of your nose to your upper lip. Adding more and more fillers creates the "fish" look. You might consider a lip lift operation. This procedure removes a strip of skin under the nose that raises the upper lip and turns it outward making it appear larger but not protruding excessively.

Answer: Swelling after Lip augmentation with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella) It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can be asymmetrical, and last 1-2 weeks after lip injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Overdone lip filler In general, there is a fine line between good result and overfilling in the lips. The lips will often swell for several days after injections. Typically, the edema resolves in 3-4 days but may take up to 2 weeks. I recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before considering additional intervention. You may decide to have the product dissolved if you aren't happy at that time. I suggest seeing an experienced board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best of luck!
