Is there a treatment to help tighten the skin/breasts so they don’t appear so flat while on my back. My partner has discussed feeling less attracted to them. While upright, they seem decently pert for an almost 37 year old. Please advise on my options.
Answer: Breasts Although what your breasts are doing is completely natural, you can have a lift to tighten the loose skin. You might be a candidate for minimally invasive radiofrequency treatments like ThermiTight as well. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your concerns and options.

Answer: No need to do anything if YOU are content with your breasts If you are ok with your breast while lying on your back, then nothing needs to be done. If 'you' wish them fuller while lying down, breast implants would be a possible solution. If that is your desire then I recommend consultation with a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. You should also be aware that results of surgery can change in the future with significant weight change and/or stretching of skin from the milk of pregnancy. Answer: Consider if it's worth it The breasts naturally flatten out a bit when you’re lying down. Breast implants can help maintain projection but you should consider the surgical risks and side effects to determine whether surgery would be worth it. It’s also important that you proceed only if it’s for you, rather than for your partner.

Answer: Breast position when I lay down Thanks for your inquiry, I do not think any current skin tightening procedures using energy would prevent the normal lateralization your breast experience when you lay down, but a peri-areolar would centralize the mound, hope that helps.

Answer: Breast lift vs BA Dear Bestself123, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.
