My breasts deflate while lying on my back, any suggestions? (Photos)

If you are ok with your breast while lying on your back, then nothing needs to be done. If 'you' wish them fuller while lying down, breast implants would be a possible solution. If that is your desire then I recommend consultation with a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. The breasts naturally flatten out a bit when you’re lying down. Breast implants can help maintain projection but you should consider the surgical risks and side effects to determine whether surgery would be worth it. It’s also important that you proceed only if it’s for you, rather than for your partner.

Thanks for your inquiry, I do not think any current skin tightening procedures using energy would prevent the normal lateralization your breast experience when you lay down, but a peri-areolar would centralize the mound, hope that helps.

determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Due to the shape of the ribcage, natural breast will have a tendency towards flattening and moving to one's side when lying down. If you would prefer to have less motion, or prefer to enhance your breast appearance, it appears that an augmentation with implants would provide you a nice result. Hope this helps.

The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. This will keep them more stable when you lie down. At the same time, small implants or fat transfers can be performed. Implants are not lifetime devices. 8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years. Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body.

Hi and thanks for your question. You are good candidate for breast implant. I recommend round implant with dual plane technique. Round implant can give more natural result with upper pole fullness for your case. You have not enough breast tissue, because of this I recommend dual plane technique for you. In this technique upper part of implant is covered by chest muscle and breast tissue, lower part of the implant is covered by breast tissue. With this combination you can get good result. This operation takes 1.5 hours and can be done under general anesthesia. You should stay one night at hospital to get rid of the anesthetic drugs affect. After surgery you should use sports bra and breast band for 6 weeks. Two weeks after the surgery you can start sports but you should wait for 6 weeks to use your arm strongly.
