I had a breast lift w/implants 7 weeks ago. My nipples are very lateral in comparison to my implant. I believe my implants were placed too medially. I recieved 335 high profile smooth round implants subglandulary. The side boob is very soft and is m naturaal breast tissue. I cannot palpate my implant om the latera portion. What can be done. Is it possible to fix this without another lift and would my original implants be aable to be used instead placing new implants.
Answer: Nipples too lateral Dear Good7882, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process. You will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Answer: Surgery First, please submit before photos so we can see where your areolae naturally sit. Some women do sit a little wide. Second, you are very early in the healing process and need to give yourself time to heal. Pushing the implants laterally might help stretch your pocket more. Please discuss this first with your surgeon.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method I would recommend you wait until 6 months after the surgery to do any revision. At that time, I would recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Early results I would be patient and give it more time to heal and settle before reaching any final conclusions about the result. Talk to your surgeon and review your before and after photos. Things will likely continue to change over the next 6-8 weeks. And subtle changes up to 6 months. So it's best not to rush to conclusions. If you're still not satisfied the options might include revising the mastopexy or modifying the implant pocket. If you're happy with the size it is reasonable to re-use the implants if they're appropriate for your goals.

Answer: Breast augmentation healing Dear Good, Surely your plastic surgeon has told you, at least once, that it will take several months (at least 6) for your tissues to relax and your breast implants to settle into their eventual position. You cannot critically evaluate a breast augmentation/lift 7 weeks postop. Good luck!
