What are your thoughts regarding rhinoplasty and cross Fit? I was an avid cross fitter before my rhinoplasty but am nervous to go back to it when I am able to fully resume exercise. Any advise?
Answer: Exercising After Rhinoplasty I recommend that you wait at least 3-4 weeks to resume exercise activities and 4-6 weeks for all strenuous activities. I would check with your rhinoplasty surgeon before proceeding.

Answer: Crossfit after rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. Make sure you ask your surgeon when it is OK for you to resume intense physical activity. I generally allow my patients to resume exercising after 2 weeks, but every surgeon is different, just as every surgeons rhinoplasty techniques are different. Only your surgeon knows what he did during your surgery and when it is safe to resume crossfit. All the best!

Answer: Resuming cross fit after rhinoplasty. Your surgeon should have given you a time frame for recovery. This is usually 3-4 weeks to allow the tissues to become fully strong, the bones to heal and become solid (if osteotomies were done) and the tissues to repair themselves enough so the risk of bleeding is low when you begin to elevate your heart rate and blood pressure during your competition. As your surgeon knows exactly what was done during your surgery, it would be best to check with him/her to get the most accurate time you need to heal before resumption of cross fit.

Answer: Ask your surgeon My own bias is to keep patients away from any activity that will raise their blood pressure for two weeks. Then I let patients ease their way into their normal exercise routine over the next two weeks. Most patients are doing everything they like by a month after surgery. Ask your doctor what they recommend.
